the IDOE for the 2016-2017 school!

Congratulations to Mishawaka Catholic's robotics team, the Washing MISHines!
The team was among four from Saturday's regional competition to be invited to the statewide competition on Dec. 9 in Fort Wayne. In addition to this honor, they also earned First Place in the project portion of the competition, which includes the regional bid for the national Global Innovation Award. They were recognized for their novel solution to the problem of groundwater contamination from overflowing septic systems in St. Joseph County. Additionally, the team earned Second Place in the robot game portion of the competition for the performance of their robot. Saturday's competition included 15 teams, some traveling from as far away as Kalamazoo, Mich., and was held at the St. Monica campus.
Members of the team include Tyler Galinowski (5), Jonathan Hickle (6), Natalia McCool (6), Reaghan Murray (6), Jacob Nava (5), Sophie Pairitz (6), Nic Quiett (5), Christy Reeves (5), Lucas Walter (7), and Genevieve Weger (6).
